The intricate custom logo designed for this elegant soirée featured a turquoise background with delicate black flourishes framing a hand-rendered white diamond gemstone displaying the guest-of-honor’s name, and event date. The custom logo appeared on customized event elements such as the delicate custom-woven embroidered labels showcased on the backs of miniature dress form centerpieces, customized silver mylar candy bags, labels for shopping bags, custom cocktail napkins, custom event signage, custom t-shirts and sweatshirts.
THE INVITATION:
The fusion of platinum, turquoise, and white were echoed in the bespoke invitation design featuring a triple-mounted card stock. The face of the invitation featured turquoise imprinting on Crane’s Pearl White Lettra card stock which was mounted onto a mirror card stock mat, and then mounted onto an additional Crane’s Pearl White Lettra card stock. White Lettra Wrap Envelopes were custom fashioned to fold over the invitation, for a more delicate unveiling. The invitation suite featured various components all comprised of the same card stock with turquoise imprinting.
THE ESCORT CARD TABLE
To greet guests as they entered the venue, a bespoke, dramatic presentation of the escort cards took center stage within the cocktail reception location. Atop a striking 3/4-inch thick square glass table with pronounced silver legs, stood a life-size dress form displaying a tea-length multi-layered turquoise silk tulle skirt, resembling a “Nutcracker-esque ballerina”, only with a very long, dramatic full skirt. The waistline displayed a plethora of intricate hand-beaded white paper and silk flowers, with fairy string lights woven throughout. The back waistline showcased an exaggerated bow fabricated from 3” wide turquoise ombre wired ribbon that cascaded down the back length of the skirt. The bodice of the dress showcased the escort cards, forming a bespoke elegant tunic. White custom die-cut place cards displayed hand-calligraphed turquoise guest names, meticulously alphabetized and organized, and attached to the dress form via custom created rhinestone-head miniature “T” pins. The final touch was that of a custom created gem-stone and crystal necklace to adorn the form. The dress form was relocated to a designated area where an assistant, poised to locate and remove the place cards, then issued them to guests prior to retreating to the dinner location.
THE TABLESCAPES
Inspiration for the design of the table centerpieces, both for the cocktail reception and dinner table centerpieces, further punctuated the design aesthetic of femininity and dance. Tables were draped in iridescent crush turquoise linens that gracefully extended to the floor, while ivory iridescent crush was featured for the napkins.
Cocktail table centerpieces featured a montage of presentations atop miniature mirror bases… custom miniature turquoise ballet shoes embellished with long delicate trails of wired ribbons, and a rhinestone brooch, were presented under glass-domed pedestal display dishes; rhinestone brooch embellished brandy-snifter-type glasses, and cube vases, displayed miniature turquoise chocolate candies or miniature gum balls within, then topped with crystalline & blue raspberry rock candy sticks, or twisted unicorn-horn-style pops featuring turquoise and white stripes.
Dinner table centerpieces replicated the stylization of the escort card dress form display. In a more diminutive fashion, the guest table centerpieces were custom creations fabricated on authentic miniature dress forms standing between 36-45” high based on the flexibility of the height extension. Each dress form displayed multi-layered turquoise silk tulle skirts befitting a ballerina! The same detail applied to the large escort card table dress form was showcased on each of the miniature dress forms, replete with hand-beaded flowers, miniature fairy lights, and exaggerated bows created from turquoise ombre wired ribbon. The final touch, again stylized after the larger dress form, was that of a custom created gem-stone and crystal necklace to adorn the form.
The back of all dress forms displayed a custom woven embroidered logo label, an intricate detail that was highlighted to replicate the branding displayed on authentic dress forms. Circular mirrors were placed beneath the dress forms, surrounded by silver mercury glass votives, enabling the candlelight to reflect off the mirrors, thereby illuminating the base.
