The bride’s fascination with flowers was born of the belief that flowers elicit happiness. Her interest in the floral world blossomed from an early age when she honed the unique gift of nurturing flowers from her mother and grandmother, two stellar role models whose green thumbs were able to revive the most dormant of gardens. Her professional endeavors resulted in the proprietorship of a wildflower farm and a deep infatuation with floral essence tinctures. The bride’s delicate touch was intricately woven into the details of this woodland setting embellished with flowers lovingly grown on her farm. The private tableau, curated by mother nature, created solely for the bride and groom, provided a rustic patina cloaked in a bed of moss atop a wide natural linen cloth. A montage of foraged organic materials native to the area terrain… branches, twigs, nests, pieces of tree bark, birch stumps, succulents and the like, were gathered and fashioned to accentuate the tabletop decor. A tall silver candelabra, acted as the statement centerpiece enhanced with a moss enriched twig wreath and white floral accents as showcased in the arbor.
A charming restored vintage barn served as the quintessential venue for the three hour evening reception dedicated exclusively to dessert service. Mercury glass pillars and votives presented candle tapers and pillars illuminating the surreal setting, nestled deep within a Vermont wood. Custom made live-edge wood tiered-display stands and show plates were creations that further echoed the natural aesthetic. A sublime forest of “naked birch” cakes showcasing floral clusters picked from the bride’s wildflower farm were among the multitude of show stoppers featured at the dessert bar.
Beneath the beauty of a harvest moon, the warm glow of a “Bridal Bonfire” simultaneously ushered-in the sweet nostalgia of a custom savory s’mores bar offering the epitome of ingredients to elevate the experience. “Nutella”, “Godiva” dark chocolate, warmed salted caramel and butterscotch, “Petit Ecolier” milk chocolate gourmet European biscuits, “Brussels” cookies, homemade warm chocolate chip cookies, miniature made-to-order waffles, fresh fruit (strawberries, raspberries, banana’s), homemade marshmallows, toasted coconut, crisp bacon, a honey drizzle… the list goes on! In tandem with the sweet treats were specialty cocktails (hot buttered rum, hot toddy’s, warmed apple cider, mudslide hot cocoa, and spiked maple syrup shooters!)… sweet dreams abound.
