MURMURATION’S natural fragrance, MURMUR, is artfully presented in a limited-edition crystal bottle, adorned with a silver wire twining vine, steel-cut beads, and a citrine crystal. The fragrance mingles notes of bergamot, violet leaves, rose petals, Egyptian amber, Egyptian musk, white musk, and vanilla. Created at the skilled hands of Lauren Awerdick, proprietor of Willow Wisp Wellness and Sacred Mi Apotekarie, inspiration for the fragrance can be attributed to my endearment for my mother and grandmother who nurtured beautiful gardens throughout their lives. This scent is a constant reminder that their spirit and love is everlasting.
Sophia Foss, the glamorous and sophisticated model, and TikTok influencer, who breathed life and elegance into this venture, captured the very essence desired for this shoot… a bride preparing for her wedding day. She embodied the type of grace and style synonymous with old Hollywood glamour. Her stunning couture blush beaded gown, and plumed headband was lovingly loaned by The Elephant’s Trunk to convey the artisanal couture style associated with our brand. The shoes were a nod to my own wedding, worn that day, created by the renowned shoe designer, Peter Fox.
The staged photoshoot replicated a vintage bedroom set, replete with antique carved mirrors, an intricately carved headboard, an elaborately carved Victorian marble-top tiered dresser and mirror with ebonized-wood teardrop drawer pulls, an elongated dresser with delicately carved panels and an octagonal mirror, a vintage petite armoire, a semi-circular vintage desk with iron scrollwork, atop which sat an antique Remington typewriter, and a pair of gothic-style carved wood chairs.
Accoutrements entailed estate jewelry pieces… a platinum, sapphire, and diamond, teardrop necklace, and a vintage Gruen watch with dainty diamond and filigree band. Ivory embroidered lace opera gloves, a vintage sequin and bead embellished wallet, and an ornate sterling engraved cigarette case, added to the vintage allure. Assorted candles were omnipresent during the shoot to bathe the diamonds and crystalline objects in a charming warm glow.
Lastly, the focal point… the dresser, displayed a collection of vintage and contemporary crystal perfume bottles, atop the marble dresser, with specific attention devoted to the “MURMUR” fragrance, the very genesis of this shoot. The custom branding, logo design, and labels were the devine creations of “Raghaus”, a studio run by a gentleman, Markus Hartel, who graciously embraces my visions and executes them far beyond perfection.
The dresser backdrop presented a mirror-framed letterpress-printed quote stating:
“No union is more profound than marriage for it embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice, and family.
In forming a marital union, two people become something greater than once they were.”
